Roll Bars, Cages and Accessories

Autopower Roll Bars and Cages

AUTOPOWER designs and manufactures rollover protection to meet high quality control standards. Most bars are made of 1¾" × .120" ERW tubing that is MIG welded in precision welding fixtures. DOM is available when ordering cages and is not available when ordering just a roll bar. Availability of roll bars and cages is indicated by our catalog numbers. Choose your car's manufacturer in the list below to find out if we make a bar for your car. When ordering, in addition to the year, make and model of your car, you need to specify whether your car has a sunroof. Call for complete details on your particular application. Please also see our Frequently Asked Questions.

Street Roll Bar – The Autopower street roll bar gives your car a performance look with style. The design allows rear seats and interior trim to remain in place and does not affect convertible top use. The rugged four-point mounted roll bar is manufactured from 1¾" × .120" ERW mild steel tubing, in most cases. This is not a "style bar"! A two-step high gloss black paint finish is applied to each roll bar. Grade 5 hardware and backup plates are included for a bolt-in installation.

Race Roll Bar – The race roll bar is designed for Solo, Autocross and high speed Time Trials. Full-width roll bar hoop with two rear support braces, a diagonal cross brace and head restraint make up this roll bar. Most race bars are made from 1¾" × .120" mild steel. 2.00" x .120" ERW tubing is used when the car exceeds 3500#. DOM is available when ordering your roll bar along with a U-weld cage kit. An optional horizontal shoulder harness bar can be added which extends the full width of the roll bar. Another option available is a removable (or bolt-in) cross brace. This allows easier access to the back seat area if the car is a dual purpose street and race vehicle. The race roll bar is coated with a high gloss black finish. Grade 5 fasteners and backup plates are included. For a idea of how a race roll bar might look in your car check out our sample installation in a BMW E36 M3.

Drag Race Bar – This true bolt-in 6-point roll bar will give your Mustang a drag race look. Designed to allow full interior and all seats to remain in place. This street-use roll bar is not NHRA approved but does help control chassis flex. Paint finish is gloss black and all mounting hardware is supplied. This design is available for the Ford 1979-present Mustang Coupe and 1983-present Convertible only.

Bolt-In Roll Cage – The bolt-in roll cage meets SCCA, NASA and IMSA road racing requirements. Autopower Industries is well known for manufacturing the best fitting, highest quality roll cages available. Showroom stock and improved touring cages bolt to the car at six points. Most roll cages have door guards and shoulder harness bars. Our Bolt-in cages are available in ERW and DOM tubing. Vehicle weight determines the size of steel tubing used. Each roll cage has a gloss black electrostatic paint finish. All necessary mounting hardware is included with the bolt-in roll cage. Window nets, window net mounting kit, and special padding are available to fit the Autopower roll cage. (See the section on Restraint Systems.)

U-Weld Roll Cage Kit – U-weld roll cage kits are intended to be added to Autopower race roll bars. Designed to fit each individual car model, they are not a one-fits-all universal kit. Final fitting and welding is required for assembly.
Each kit has:

Part No.
